Bryan G. Cook, Ph.D., is a Professor of Special Education  at the University of Hawaii (UH).  Dr. Cook was recently appointed the Hubert Everly Scholar in UH's College of Education and was the 2007 recipient of the Early Career Research Award from the Council for Exceptional Children's Division for Research. Dr. Cook also guest co-edited a recent special issue of Learning Disabilities: A Multidisciplinary Journal focused on higher education and students with learning disabilities. Dr. Cook frequently presents and publishes on UDL and student with LD, focusing on practical applications of UDL for post-secondary instruction. In April, 2008, he was awarded this year's James M. Kauffman Publication Award for another special issue he guest-edited on the side effects of inclusion for students with LD. In that special issue, he co-authored an article on the impact of the increased presence of students with LD on college and university faculty.
