Dr. Glen White

 Glen White, Ph.D., a professor of Applied and Behavioral Science and Director of the Rehabilitation Research and Training Center on Independent Living at the University of Kansas has been involved in the rehabilitation and independent living field for over 30 years.  He has worked with numerous consumers with disabilities in identifying, developing, and shaping ongoing disability research.  He has conducted research in the areas of housing, advocacy, higher education and disability, and reasonable accommodations.  He is past president of the National Association of Rehabilitation Research and Training Centers, past Chair of the American Public Health Association’s Disability Forum, and serves as a consultant to many national organizations.  In all of these capacities, Dr. White blends his personal experience with a significant disability and his status as a prominent researcher and educator into fierce advocacy on behalf of Americans with disabilities.
